Microsoft's Persistent Efforts to Divert Users from Chrome: A Closer Look

Why Does Microsoft Keep Asking You to Explain Your Browser Choice?

Microsoft has been found to be injecting a poll into its Edge web browser, asking users why they are trying to download Google Chrome. This is the latest in Microsoft’s efforts to steer users away from Chrome and towards its own browser.

The pop-ups and injected ads have been around for nearly two years, and the poll seems to be a new addition, first spotted by Neowin recently.

While the company’s tactics have drawn criticism, Microsoft has not always respected its users’ choice of default browser. However, in the European Union, Microsoft may finally be changing its ways.

Unfortunately, the new poll does not include an option for users to express their boycott of Edge due to Microsoft’s lack of respect for them as users.
