Joshua Agboola, a remarkable 13-year-old programmer from Nigeria, has achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest certified Amazon Web Services (AWS) developer associate in Africa. This exceptional accomplishment came after a challenging two-hour examination that assessed his proficiency in deploying, troubleshooting, and developing on the AWS cloud platform.
Inspired by his outstanding performance in the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam earlier in the year and encouraged by his father, Joshua embarked on the journey to the next level of certification. Initially aiming for the Solutions Architect Associate certification, he decided to take on the tougher developer associate certification due to encouragement from an older friend who is also a programmer.
“I was initially preparing for the Solutions Architect Associate certification which is the next certification most people take in their AWS cloud journey, but had a change of mind for a tougher developer associate certification due to encouragement from an older friend programmer,” said the child. The light bulb went up in my head, and I began studying the next day.”
Joshua’s dedication to achieving a world record in the cloud space as the youngest developer associate provided additional motivation. His preparation involved daily study sessions of two to five hours for six weeks, showcasing his commitment and passion for technology.
Recognizing his achievement, a tech company in Lagos has offered to provide Joshua with further technical mentorship. His success in the cloud space has garnered significant attention and praise, opening doors to potential opportunities for this young internet sensation.
Joshua Agboola’s outstanding accomplishment serves as an inspiring example of the limitless potential of young talent in the tech industry. As Africa’s youngest certified AWS developer associate, he continues to show great promise and dedication in his pursuit of excellence in the world of cloud computing.
